Don't Bother!! July 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Read the reviews before me and thought, well lets give it a go, not the best decision of my life, the controls are shocking, you feel like its liuck as opposed to skill where the dart goes sometimes, if it even goes anywhere!!! Career Mode, well is just terrible i was getting averages of 110-120 and losing to players in first round of tournaments, so heaven knows what averages the better players will get!! Do yourself a favour dont bother, stick to the real thing!!!
This game is fantastic, you just have to be patient July 4, 2008 Despite the negative reviews on here, I want to say this game is superb, it is tricky to master, but thats more the challene right? what fun would it be to line the dart up and throw it any old how and score 180's nearly every time? admittedly you can pick it up quicker if have thrown a dart, as I do and within a hour had hit a 9 dart finish, however my 6 year old nephew played me and he picked it up quite well, and had no problem hitting the odd treble 20.
Its just a case of being patient and understanding that the game is as realistic as it can get, u need a steady hand and steady arm to throw well, twisting and flinging the wii remote is guna make the dart not go where you want it, the same as a real dart, I personally would hate a game you can master in half hour, there'd be no point, if all you ever did is win, the career mode is adictive, its hard work, but is addictive and u soon get caught up in the excitement of playing darts.
My advice, give it a chance, my first impressions was like, man this is hard, i dont like this, then all of a sudden 3 hours had passed and i was lovin it
its easily a 5 star game and easily one of the most realistic games on the wii, a definate must buy for anyone, especially darts fans in my book!
Excitement all the way! July 1, 2008 After reading all the negative comments and reviews surrounding this game, I was a bit reluctant to spend the 30 or so to buy it. However, I'm glad I did buy it as it has proved to be a very enjoyable game.
Although the control was a little difficult to master initially, it really didn't take too long, and my 10 year old son has managed it very well too, scoring a couple of 180's in the process. So, all you that have put the game back in the box because you can't throw a dart, please persevere and you will have your reward!
load of rubbish June 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
this game is a waste of money .. party game darts is the one lots of fun
some will never get it some will never regret it June 16, 2008 i can understand why this game is receiving the reviews it is we tried this game with few friends and to be honest some of them just can not get to grips with the throwing action while i find it totally natural and easy to play no-one else of the four people playing at the time could even throw all 3-darts so to be honest it's a bit of a lottery however you will be more likely to get it right if you play darts yourself as the throwing action and release timing is exactly as it would be plaing for real.however if you do master it you will have hours of fun and even if you get really good any one of the top 16 especially Taylor,Barneveld and Jenkins are very hard to beat TIP: buy second hand if possible
