Product Description The Zen Nano Plus MP3 player is the smallest in the Creative range and still produces an outstanding audio performance. With a blue backlit LCD screen and user-friendly interface the Zen Nano Plus is only 33.5 x 65.5 x 13 mm and weighs only 22 g! Store up to 16 hours of music in MP3 format or 32 hours in WMA format on the 1 GB memory. The Zen Nano Plus also has an FM radio and dictaphone function. You can also record directly from the radio or from any audio source into MP3 format using the Line-in socket. Transfer data quickly from your computer to the Zen Nano Plus and vice-versa using the USB 2.0 connection. A battery life of 15 hours from a single AAA battery make the Zen Nano Plus an outstanding MP3 player.

Disappointed. February 8, 2008 Oh dear. I bought the Zen Nano to replace the generic player I had (and because the i-river player I was after was out of stock everywhere.) Firstly the earbuds were far too large for my (probably average sized) ears. Not a problem as I already had some good quality buds. Second, the FM radio didn't work. Not a peep. As I bought the Zen primarily for mp3 playback I decided against the hassle of sending it back. Another irritation was that there is no "Hold" switch - this function is accessed via the menu. On the upside, playback quality was good as was battery life. However, the final straw came when the tag that secures the battery cover broke (under normal use). Bearing in mind that the cover would be removed probably every couple of days I was expecting something a little more sturdy. Very poor. One star for battery life and playback quality. No stars for everything else.
Pretty good January 10, 2008 I've had this product for 2 years now and have been very pleased with it. It is really easy to put songs on and listen to them. In fact, all of the features work very well. The only bad side to it (the reason I only gave 4 stars) is that it only holds 500 songs which I have used up. I am therefore now having to get a new mp3 with a bigger memory - I have to say this is a shame because I was becoming rather fond of my little creative zen nano.
However, this is the perfect product for people who don't need as many as 500 songs on their mp3! But if you do want more than 500, go for a different mp3 player with a 2GB or 4GB memory.
Still a top MP3 player after two years November 23, 2007 My black Zen Nano is still working perfectly after two years. And I will say it is still the top MP3 player I every had (Maybe the Creative Lab ever made as well). Both built and the sound quality are superb. Don't understand why people like the Apple crap things. Maybe I am old fashion, but a mp3 player is for playing music, not for show off. And when I listening to my music, usually I am working, driving or jogging so I don't need a big screen to watch.
It's a shame that Creative Lab stopped this product. They should provide a 2G or 4G Zen Nano plus instead.
A Great Little MP3 Player! November 5, 2007 I really liked my Creative Zen Nano, it was reliable (even after being dropped several times), the sound quality was good, and I didn't even change the headphones that came with it, because they were okay too. I really did not want to give into the iPod fad, when you could get something so much better from a far superior company! The only thing I didn't like is that it used batteries and therefore wasn't rechargable.
I'm sad to see it go, but I'm swapping it for a Creative Zen!
Can you wash it? October 23, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Before being given the Creative Zen Nano 1GB as a gift, I had been through 3 Ipods. All three broke within 6 months of purchase, and this was due to my apparent careless attitude to my Ipod. This was something that did not sit well with me and rather than spend yet more money with Apple, my partner decided to pick me up a Creative at the airport on his way home from a holiday. I was overjoyed to be with music in my ears once more, the small gadget sat neatly in my pocket whilst I ran in the gym, and transfering music is so simple! Drag and drop from one file to another, and it is so easy to organise folders of music once they are on the machine. Last night, (and this is the reason for my review) I went to look for my MP3 player and realised that foolishly that I had left it in the pocket of a jacket that was, at this point, being throw around the washing machine!! I was convinced it was ruined and I was already planning to replace it with a new one. But at the end of a 40 degree wash and 15 minute spin cycle, I open the washing machine door untangled the headphone wire from my sodden clothes, popped the AAA battery back in and held my finger down on the power button.... The blue light flicked on and the music blasted from my headphones!! IT WORKED!!
This machine has been washed and spun at great speed and yet, this morning on the treadmill it sounded as good as new, i might even say it sound better than normal!
So for less than 50, if you are thinking about buying this MP3 player, I can not recommened it highly enough!! It has withstood being dropped, being bashed and now being washed!! And yet it has come out, working perfectly every time!
