Lift the handset to open Skype/VoIP, and dial SkypeOut numbers or speed-dial contacts directly from the keypad. It makes Skype/VoIP calling as simple and familiar as a regular phone - make and receive calls directly, switch between handset and speakerphone during calls. The internal speaker rings on incoming calls. The large blue back-lit LCD screen displays incoming caller ID, call status and duration. You can also scroll through the last 199 incoming and dialed calls. Navigate the Skype/VoIP window with the directional keys, scroll up and down through contacts, call history, etc., and across tabs. The phone is powered by its USB connection, so no external power supply is needed.

I bought one of these for my office 2 years ago (not from Amazon) and have just ordered a second one from Amazon for home. I have also tried the little 'mobile' size phones and having them fall over, or slip off the desk drives me crazy! This desk phone has non-slip feet, has a nice heavy feel handset and a decent handset cord. I use my office one with MX-Skype recorder software to have a record of important calls and it works fine! Amazing value for money.
