 I Promise you can find better!!! June 19, 2008
Dear Hopeful Buyer,
I cannot beginning to express how disappointed I am with the this product.
I am not one who would usually write a review, but my disbelief at the poor customer service, pushed me to warn as many as I could.
For starters, this product is really overpriced, considering how little it actually does.
Even after doing a full PC scan and successfully detecting 2 Trojans and one bit of malware, there was no action taken to remove it. Nor was it quarantined.What then is the point?
I might as well have open the window and throw my money outside.
I then call the customer service and was informed that I would have to pay a 1 a min, to even speak to techinal support.This is crazy , nobody should have to spent so much money buying a program and then have to pay that amount of money. I then tried the internet support in vain and realized it was the same thing. You have to pay, for online support.
Please, Please do a search online for a better, recommended anti-virus software. I really do wish that I had done that buying this useless programme.

Beware McAfee's automatic renewal February 22, 2008

Like many other users I was unimpressed by the McAfee anti virus - additionally when the computer the software was installed on died and was replaced McAfee was completely uninterested in facilitating a download of the remaining 9 months of licence. I switched to another product. To make matters worse McAfee automatically renewed the subscription for a further year without authorisation. I now have the hassle of trying to sort this out. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Have used this for nearly 12 months now and it was the easiest Internet Security system I have installed to date. I have had no problems with this suite which was a great improvement on the 2006 suite. I will be purchasing McAfee again later this year.

IF YOU HAVE PLENTY MONEY TO WASTE THIS PRODUCT IS A GOOD PRODUCT FOR YOU BUT REALLY IT IS A COMPLETE AND UTTER WASTE OF MONEY. YOU WOULD BE AS WELL AS TO THROW YOUR MONEY DOWN THE NEAREST PUBLIC DRAIN. I AM IRATE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT IT HAS DONE MORE HARM THAN GOOD TO MY COMPUTER. I HAD TO INSTALL IT EVERY TWO DAYS AND EVEN THIS DIDNT WORK MY COMPUTER WAS SWAMPED WITH VIRUSES AND NOW EVEN WHEN I HAVE DELETED THE PROGRAM IT WONT LET ME ACCESS THE INTERNET. I HAVE TRIED UPLOADING NORTON BUT MCAFEE WONT ALLOW IT EVEN SUPPOSING IT IS DELETED. SO I HAVE JUST CHUCKED AWAY THE MONEY FOR THE VIRUS SOFTWARE AND NOW MY 1000 COMPUTER IS MAL FUNCTIONING. DONT BUY IT YOU WILL FOREVER REGRET IT!!!
The most trouble free version yet. October 15, 2007
I have used McAfee for several years and bought this version through an Amazon e-seller (nikon2you) for an amazing price. I uninstalled the prior version and then this version loaded trouble free. Unlike earler versions you no longer have to log in as an administrator and I didn't have to set up all the details for the other users of my PC with different e-mail addresses etc.
Also, it hasn't affected the smooth operation of my domestic wireless network - something that took a lot of de-bugging last time. It seems to be updating quite frequently in the background without any problems and I have also been able to use it to update the protection on other PCs running on my network.
Overall, I think this is the best version yet - and for the first time I haven't had to spend hours trying to make it work smoothly.
