Got to have it!!! April 27, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a great game and got me into Olympics alot more. Now I want to see every event in the games!! Anyway, back to the game...Haven't played Circuits or Missions yet, but have played Single Match mode, which is the normal playing mode. Brilliant graphics - clear and bright. Instructions on how to use the wii remote or wii remote and nunchuk are very clear. A wide variety of games on there, but there's a twist - a good one! When you get an extra good score on a game, you unlock a new Circuit and a new game in Single Match mode. This basically gets you more things to do on the game. Discovered this game from a freind and we were on it all night!!! Lots of Mario and Sonic characters to choose from for each event. The characters are separated into these catagories: Power Type, All-Around, Skill Type and Speed Type. Try out different characters for each event, see which one works best for you. I've found that Daisy is best for swimming, Sonic is best for running, Peach is best for High Jump, Bowser is best for Hammer Throw, Blaze is best for Trampolining and Mario is best for the Dream Race. I've still yet to uncover the rest!!!
SUMMARY I'd reccomed thoroughly that you get this game. It's fun for the whole family and it keeps you extra fit.
Thank you for reading this review. I hope it had been useful to you.
Quite a good game but way over-hyped! April 22, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
After reading all the reviews for this game and it being out of stock everywhere for so long I was really looking forward to playing it. It's certainly not the worst game around but it's def not the best either. It doesn't live up to it's hype. Forgetting how much it's been built up it's an average game with quite a few bad points as others have pointed out.
Definitely one for your collection April 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My partner and I are working through each character to win all the medals, trophies and emblems for each one. The games are challenging and at times frustrating. Each character has their own speciality strengths, so the game play with each one is extremely varied. It's one that keeps you up all night without realising!
Fun and frustrating at times too April 18, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Mario Olympics is basically a set of minigames on the theme of sport. Many of them are fun and some are very hard to play. Often winning seems to come down to the player-character you select and whether you have the wii knack for that game. Personally I find that annoying and Mario Party 8 is a better group game for the wii. Nevertheless, Mario Olympics is fun for a short while.
Insane! April 15, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
this is one the best games for the wii without doubt. the controls are fairly simply, but practise before entering circuits because technique is everything!. anyone who reviewed this game less than 5 stars is either a dumbass or just plain sucks at video games. even my 11 year old sister can complete everything weve unlocked so far. i would seriously reccomend buying this game!
