Brilliant fun! April 15, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am not a person who looks at the graffics and all the real bumpf that real games people look at! I just do what my kids tell me, and play the games, and this one is one of the best ones I have ever played! It gives me such a work out! and a laugh as I fall over the hurdles, go backwards (well thats what it feels like). I really do love this, this is great for family, friends or like us we had our football teams over for a few drinks and just had a brilliant time! I really would recommend this just for the sheer fun and hilarity it causes!
Good fun if its just mates, but very hard to control April 14, 2008 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
Well I read a lot of reviews about this game and thought I'd give it a go. The controls on some of the events are very easy to control ie: running and swimming. But like others have said the clay shooting, trampoline and javelin are very hard to do, unless you spend most of your time ont he Wii and are comfortable with the Wiimote. The music does get on your nerves after a while.
My recommendation if you want a game to play with your m8's with Mario or sonic in them is Mario Kart Wii or Sega SuperStars Tennis. They are more fun and a little easier to play.
Its tooo hard! rubbish April 13, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
So a couple of the games may be a little tricky but the rest are great (and I'm even getting better at the Rowing) I have enjoyed this loads with my wife (as proven by the horribly sore arms and ribs). So OK its not that easy to win out of the box, but I had won the 100m after a couple of attempts, stick with it and have a laugh. Its not impossible, it looks fantastic and once I develop muscles like Rambo I may survive more than a couple of events. Great game and a great introduction to the Wii.
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games April 11, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I found this game to very challenging but fun! Now you can use the Wii Remote in a whole new way! There are different varieties of activities, the way you have you run is you hold the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk and swing it up and down. Maybe if you're over a teenager you might find some of the activities a bit annoying. The graphics are very good. Don't worry it's just as much fun with more than one player because you are competing by getting more points + if you haven't played before you can have a handicap which lets you start off with more points in-case the other player is more experienced and if you are differently abled. You can have 1 to 10 handicap points. Overall I found it to be very fun and enjoyable. You might not want this game because you are an adult or a teenager and you think it might be babyish but if you get the hang of it you will eventually enjoy this game. This game is fun for all ages and I would recommend to buy one... NOW!
Absolute Rubbish- Total Waste of Money April 6, 2008 4 out of 17 found this review helpful
Without a shadow of a doubt this is the worst game I have so far come across for the Wii. As mentioned previously some of the games, particularly the skeet shooting are ridiculously difficult. The trampoline game is moronic- having to simply press a succesion of buttons to gain points, the fencing controls simply are ineffectual and the contest itself is tedious. The control instructions are next to useless and the music makes me want to vomit.
Never having owned a Mario/Sonic game before I was surprised at how irritating the characters actually are. The voices are grating. The amount of times the 'A' button has to be pressed to access parts of the game or to move on to the next scene is monotonous- repetative strain injury doesnt even come close.
I bought this only 2 days ago and already Im getting rid of it. It's unfortunate that the rating on here only goes down to one star.
A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.
