3 out of 5 stars Wii fit   July 28, 2008

I didn't like wii fit at all.

I bought it the first day it came out and i played with it for about 1 hour and i was bored. I hardly go on wii fit anymore, the games are quite fun but they get boring.

I bought this game for the fun of it im not over weight and i dont think this will help much with loosing weight but it will help with balance.

If you are looking to loose weight this is quite a cheep product for getting fit compared to running machines and all that.

IF u want this for the fun of it dont bother.

Where do I start? Well, I'll start by saying this: Wii Fit is so popular, so hardly anywhere has them in stock! I got mine for Smyths Toy Store. I'll put how much I enjoy this game in perspective for you: I got this game early afternoon today and was on it for 1 hr 28mins to be precise! Look at the video on the product page for a good outline of Wii Fit. You get this thing from the Wii Board (it has it's very own character) when you first register your Mii called the FitPiggy that keeps track of how much time you spend each day and in total on Wii Fit. This time is called FitCash, The more FitCash you collect, the more games/excercises you unlock. Be prepared to break out in a sweat with Wii Fit! But the console 'tells' you after every hour's worth of excercise, you should take a 10-15 min break which is good but you don't have too. When you first start your character on Wii Fit, prepare to laugh when your BMI is measured and you Mii's body changes shape comically! You can also choose, for the Muscle Workout and Yoga purposes, what gender of trainer you want. I can't explain everything on Wii Fit - a) because I haven't unlocked everything on it yet and have only had Wii Fit for a day and b) there's just to much! If you really want to get the most out of this game, you really have to buy it! I really really really really really really reccommend this product - good luck in keeping fit and having fun with Wii Fit!

5 out of 5 stars So Glad I Bought This - If You See One Around In A Shop - GET IT!   July 23, 2008

I Didn't get this from amazon, instead I saw 7 on the back shelf at my local GAME store, After thinking whether to opt out for it, or instead get Everybody's Golf For Ps3 - I decided Sod It! and got a Wii Fit. And To Be frank - BEAUTIFUL!. I have only had it a few hours and I'm already hooked. my favourite game has to be the jogging game (which involves putting a wiimote in your pocket and running on the spot) - I instead run around my living room and just keep focused. its amazing to play - I don't regret getting it and it really is an eye catcher when nosey family members clock it on the floor......

4 out of 5 stars Worth the Wait   July 22, 2008

Like so many others I have been desperately trying to get hold of a Wii fit without paying through the nose for it. I finally managed to get one as part of a game bundle from Gamestation. I have to say that it was worth the wait and so far I have really enjoyed playing on it. My concern however is that I will quickly become bored of the fairly limited amount of activities. I hope that more games will be developed that will utilise the balance board. I am glad that I did not pay the extortionate prices that some people are charging. I can only hope that people will not give in and pay these prices and then the greedy ones who are trying to profiteer will be left with egg on their faces!

5 out of 5 stars If you got a Wii don`t miss this!   July 21, 2008

I spent less money on holiday than I thought so decided to buy a Wii Fit. It turns out to be a lot better than I thought it would be. First up you put in your height and age then you get weighed and it gives you your BMI then it tests you on posture and you find out you`re not standing as straight as you think you are, and gives you some simple bending games. Then its on to the training. Theres yoga which you can really feel benifits from quickly, arobic games like hula hoop ( two goes and I`m knackered)running on the spot, balance games like skiing and heading a ball and muscle building like press ups. All the games are very challenging and great fun. The only drawback is when playing as a family to take turns you have to keep going back to the mii plaza to change mii`s then the board has to resync with the new mii which takes time. All in all a great item and if you got a Wii you should definetly get this. Also if your thinking of getting one for Christmas I would start looking now as it took me a week to get one without paying over the odds.
