5 out of 5 stars Totally entertaining and great fun to pick up & play!   September 6, 2008
Fantastic game and great fun! If you're a Star Wars fan you'll love it! If you're not a Star Wars fan, you'll love the game! This was my first intro to the "Lego" games and I found that I can pick it up and play it for any amount a time - a few minutes or a few hours! It's simple yet there is so much to do and explore! The sounds are brilliant and really immerse you into the Star Wars universe! It's refreshing to find a game that doesn't involve killing/dieing and violence, but uses humourous dictations of these (i.e. lego characters regenerating)! Looking fwd to Indiana Jones, Batman & hopefully many more?! :)

Lego + Star Wars x Wii = Lotsa Fun

Simply put, there's easily 50 hours of gameplay here to just complete the entire game. Yes, that's right, and Knights of the Old Republic was only 40. Apart from completing episodes, there's freeplay (always fun) and challenges (and some of these really do live up to their nature for the more "I want something challenging" gamer). The fact that you can't really die and the great sense of humour (plus the fact you can design and play with your own characters) makes for great gaming - whether or not you play with a friend. My only quibble with it is that it doesn't have a split screen like most multiplayer games, but the game still has TONS for you to do. Bargain at current prices.

Oh - and did I mention I've been dying for a console that let me weild a lightsaber properly ever since I was a kid? Well, the Wii doesn't quite let you control it entirely, but it's pretty close!

3 out of 5 stars It's a great game, but...   July 14, 2008
Lego, and Star Wars; what a fantastic idea! As a game? Well, actually yeah, that really rather works. As an easy, pick-up-and-play game, 'LEGO Star Wars: the Complete Saga' is a great addition to any young Jedi's library of entertainment.

Now, I don't go around with a mind purposeful of party-pooping; but, for those of us a little more mature, I must raise a concern or two.

Firstly, doesn't anyone else see, that releasing two games, and then releasing them again together, as a bit cheeky? I mean, I like to make money as much as the next guy, but why didn't you just bang all six into the first game? It doesn't even really seem to offer much in the way of newness either. Obviously, there's the combined movies in one game, and the functionality of the Wii-mote, but if you've just finished the two older games on another console, you're not going to miss out on much.

Also, I felt that this game was a little slack in some areas. For example, the Wii-mote was not terribly responsive to my commands, and indeed, I found it somewhat tiresome to be constantly swinging my arms around, and eventually just ended up using the directional pad, which, I thought, almost nullified the whole point of playing it on the Wii (though this could relate more to the Wii on the whole, rather than just this game). The game itself, whilst being what it is, still feels quite, well, mindless.

Now, I do understand the whole point of this game, but it still left me feeling, like I was just doing the same thing all of the time; that was a little boring.

On the whole, however, I don't want to disillusion you by saying this game is bad; it isn't. Taking a step back, 'LEGO Star Wars' is a humorous, nostalgic and amusing game, and not a bad way to invest in ~30; in fact, if you've just picked up a Wii for your little Anakin Skywalker, or fancy waving your arms around, Skywalker style, then I really can't think of a better game to get started on. Just know that a lot of people like to get very excited about things, and that sometimes it's better to buy with open eyes, than with rose-tinted glasses.

Its fun on your own and even more fun with someone else. My husband and I have played this so much. I don't think I'd realised how completely addicted to this we would become... its fun, and humorous, and ensured many a late night whilst we did just one more level! I love this game!

5 out of 5 stars Excellecent- Warning Buy in UK only...   June 1, 2008

Much has been written about this so for a game play point for View there's nothing I can add.

However be WARNED, many people have been buying games from .de & .fr without problems examples: Wii fit,Mario Kart, Links Cross Bow Training etc- These game are in 5 languages inc English so will work on your UK console in English.

LEGO Star wars by Activision :is not- IN France it is sold in French only, IN Germany -German only, so unless you want to play in either of these 2 languages don't buy from .de & .fr other wise you will disappointed.

.de & .fr sell many things that can be used in English on the wii- if there are other games, then check first, as Both sites have help(Aide:fr), (Hilfe-:de)-(found on their site at bottom of page under other country names), in English and .de will answer any question's in English

I live in France and had to buy from another well know UK high street games shop(omline) , that agreed to send it to me in France. I do play french games, but this I wanted in English.

Hope this is off use ,as .de does have stock & Uk is out- and I would not want anyone to assume that because many people are currently buying other games from those sites that this 1 would have worked in English- as sadly it does not- Unless you buy from UK.

P.S You can always use Topic forum on uk site to ask, as it only will takes a few minutes for some to check whether there games is a 5 a language one, or like me posted a topic on .de- as posters are very helpful (and I even wrote Post in English- got an excellent/fast response from a German Guy).
