Superb USB DVB June 29, 2008 This is my 3rd USB DVB T stick. The previous one was a Freecom unit and the Lupo beats it hands down. This unit was easy to set up and the reception is brilliant. It is connected to an external aerial and although I am in a strong reception area I have to say I am very impressed with the results. For the price this is an unbelievable bargain.
Brilliant for VISTA!! June 29, 2008 I was a bit sceptical buying this product due to some of the comments from VISTA users. However, I thought it was worth a go for the price. What a decision, this is a brilliant product. I installed the drivers and the software from the CD provided, plugged in the USB and waited whilst my system searched for available channels. Unfortunately I am not able to pick up any channels using the mini aerial provided. This however is nothing to do with the quality of the aerial, it is due to the fact that I am on the edge of the Digital Transmitters footprint. Using the aerial on my roof and the provided adapter, I can access loads of channels, all with fantatic clarity. The provided remote control is an excellent addition and the record facility is fantastic. Obviously I bought this to be mobile, so hopefully I will get the same results with the mini aerial, when I have access to a stronger signal. IT WAS DEFINATELY WORTH IT FOR ME!!!
Good value, does what it says on the packet June 25, 2008 I live in a strong digital signal area, however the stick aerial doesn't pick up much. Good picture when plugged into house aerial, dongle does get quite hot during use. Works OK with the BlazeDTV software. Shame it does not run in Windows Media Centre also teletext not available. Overall good value for money and does it's job.
READ THIS ADVICE June 13, 2008 I tested this freeview receiver at three different locations. At first two, despite being connected to an aerial, it did'nt detect signal AT ALL. At the third location four channels ( BBC ONE, BBC TWO, BBC NEWS and sth. else ) were detected but instead of television I was watching some sort of slideshow. Although the quality of sound and the sharpness of picture were fine, it was no good at all. I observed the signal strenght indicator very carefully - the strenght of signal had never reached half of the maximum. So, my conclusion is simple: BEFRE YOU BUY THIS, ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE REALLY GOOD SIGNAL RECEPTION IN YOUR AREA. Otherwise it just doesn't work.
Great (for the money) June 12, 2008 A fantastic product for under 10, works with vista and i received 60+ channels (radio & TV) just with the mini aerial.
However, The software provided is not that great (compared with blazeplayed which I have seen come with a friend of mines USB-TV thing), recording with the provided software does not seem to work that well.
Although, as I said, great for the money.
